Jim Potter read opening words. Since a quorum was not present we were not able to take decisions. Nance Cedar read the rough draft minute of the DRE Search Committee meeting of 6/29. Members of the BOT were concerned about the job description and timetable of the DRE search.
Joanne Masterson presented the report of the music director search committee. An outline of activities was present. Joanne asked for clarification on approval of a contract with a candidate and was told it requires BOT approval. The probability of offering a partial benefit package was discussed.
Donna mentioned that Cingular Wireless has expressed interest in erecting a cellular tower on the property. Some discussion was had concerning the previous interaction with Sprint. Donna will research further.
Ric presented a brief description of the BOT retreat set for 9/24/05. Suzanne Cleary has agreed to facilitate. We will meet with the Program Council on 9/23.
The BOT discussed the rental policy amendment and what are the limitations on scheduling for [RIPPED] church activities and rentals. Ric requested suggestions for changes to the proposed rental policy.
The matter of the construction to the carriage house second floor wall will be forwarded to the Finance Committee for funding consideration.
