Call to Order:  7:30 p.m. by Ron Brandt

Opening Words:  Betsy Stephens

The following motions were passed unanimously:

  1. Acceptance of charters, as modified, from the following committees:  Facilities for the Future, Endowment, and Outreach.  (Modifications were minor.  The modified charters are attached.)
  2. Acceptance of design from Ft. Hunt Preschool for a gate to be erected by preschool parents on the driveway leading to the playground area.  (A gate and some fencing are required for insurance and licensing.  Linda Davidson will work with the preschool, the Grounds Committee, and with Religious Education representatives to develop a plan for fencing.)

The following decision was reached by consensus:

  1. Recommendation that Kay Sargent continue to study safe congregation policies regarding selection of teachers.  The Religious Education Council will later propose policies to the Board.  Rev. Braman will speak on the subject in an upcoming sermon.
