The Inova Hospital System, in cooperation with MVUC and 13 other neighborhood churches, sponsors blood drives throughout the year. Blood drives save lives and keep our hospitals ready to respond to life threatening situations. MVUC has a long tradition of supporting this vital program that discriminates against no one. By its very nature, the act of donating helps the rich and the poor, the black and the white, the gay and the straight. Donating blood is a UU tradition consistent with our principles, performed in community, in love and respect for one another. To educate yourself about donating blood, click here (PDF).
