Communications Council
Oversees all forms of formal communication at MVUC, including print publications, the website, and external communications (publicity). Recommends policies regarding communication to the Board of Trustees, and appoints volunteers, including the newsletter editor, website editor, and webster.
Newsletter – The Windmill
Solicits articles and information from staff and members of the congregation, edits as needed, determines priorities and placement and produces camera-ready layout for submission to the printer. The print version is processed for mailing by a group of volunteers. The electronic version is sent immediately to those who have requested delivery by email and also placed on the MVUC website
Website - MVUC.org
The website tells of forthcoming events and provides ready access to numerous documents and other resources. It is an increasingly important source of information for current members and friends and for potential visitors. It is the means by which most newcomers find us. The editor oversees content and keeps postings up to date. The webster manages technical aspects of web maintenance.
Weekly Bulletin
An insert in each Sunday's Order of Service contains announcements and news of future events.
This Week at MVUC
The weekly email newsletter is sent each Friday. It has information about Sunday services and other events taking place in the next 9 days.
Publicity
The Outreach Team can assist groups and activities with coordinating publicity, writing articles, and providing photographs.
