The Sunday Services Committee, in partnership with the
minister, is charged with creating the programs for Sunday morning worship
services. It is the custom at MVUC to schedule community and guest
sermons. These services are scheduled once a month during the church year and on
the majority of Sundays during the summer. The Committee sponsors a Worship
Associates program for church members who assist the minister, coordinate
arrangements with lay leaders, guest speakers and groups conducting the church
service and present services on assigned Sundays.
The Aesthetics Committee is charged with developing a master plan to improve the physical comfort, design motifs, and/or liturgical components in the Chapel and making recommendations on these matters to the Board and the Congregation.
The Music Committee advises and assists the director of music in development and administration of the music program at MVUC. The music program is intended to provide spiritual nourishment and inspiration to the congregation by providing appropriate music at religious services and special events.
