Giving and Stewardship

MVUC could not exist without our financial support. 

As stewards, people in the congregation pledge financial support to maintain the ongoing life of the church.

We provide stewardship mainly in two ways.

Stewardship pledges are regular contributions from members and friends. These funds cover about 75% of MVUC’s operating costs.

Endowment Fund contributions are sustaining gifts to MVUC, made mainly through direct donations, wills and estate plans. The Endowment Fund provides a long-term financial foundation for MVUC to endure as a home for liberal religious faith.

The Legacy Circle is a group of people who have pledged contributions in their estate plans.

Any form of stewardship enables us to:

• Ensure we offer fair compensation to staff and ministers

• Fund our programs such as religious education, membership development, and music 

• Keep our unique buildings and grounds useful and enjoyable

• Maintain rental space available for schools, weddings, and other programs we value

• Do our share to promote Unitarian Universalism worldwide

• Plan future developments for our buildings, operations and programs
